Ultracasual Gaming Trends in Latin America: Q1 2021 Insights

The ultracasual gaming category has seen varied performances among the top apps in Latin America during the first quarter of 2021. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into the performance of these apps, and here we take a closer look at the download and weekly active users trends for these leading games.

Acrylic Nails! by Crazy Labs started the quarter with nearly 1M downloads in the last week of December 2020, which gradually decreased to around 370K by the end of March 2021. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, from approximately 1.8M to 909K in the same period.

Antistress - Relaxing games, developed by Moreno Maio, showed an initial spike in downloads, reaching 375K in the first week of January, but saw a decrease to 208K by the end of March. Revenue dipped slightly from $1.7K to $442, and weekly active users peaked at 1.7M in late February before settling at around 1.6M.

Crazy Labs also published ASMR Slicing, which experienced a peak in downloads mid-January at approximately 177K, but downloads slowed to around 148K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 318K in the third week of January and displayed a slight recovery to 273K after a dip in early March.

Jelly Dye：Satisfying ASMR Game by AI Games FZ saw a remarkable increase in downloads from just 3.5K in its release week to a substantial 915K in the third week of March, before dropping to 751K. The weekly active users skyrocketed from around 10K to an impressive 1.4M by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Paint Dropper from KAYAC Inc. began with over 250K downloads in the last week of December, which declined to 59K by the end of March. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at 352K and falling to 88K in the same timeframe.
